Writing can make you feel better

Do you think that journaling or writing have to be done in a stylish journal, or fancy paper or with pretty penmanship? Not me, it is more important to get started! Some of my writing is on an old spiral notebooks that one of my kids left behind at home.  It doesn’t have to be neat and tidy, sometimes my mind is dumping my feelings so fast I can’t keep up with it and write each word. I don’t think anyone but myself can read or understand what I wrote. But it doesn’t matter, the actual writing is a physical action.   There is a feeling of peace, understanding of myself, that just makes me feel better.

What makes you feel better? Writing can make you feel better when you’re happy, sad, or mad, really it can.
